Is there a digital back I can put on a Canon SLR?
I have a Canon EOS Rebel 2000, and I got a Canon EOS 40D dSLR recently. Is there a digital back I can put on the film SLR to make it digital as well?

No.
There once was an attempt to make a “drop-in” digital cassette to do that but by the time it started to show promise, the DSLR was introduced by Kodak and Nikon (late 1990′s) and the idea was dropped.
The digital backs are made for the larger format film cameras, either by direct mount or tethered. Plus the cost is VERY high. A Phase One 30mp back is $30,000. Even the new Mamiya back, 22mp, is several thousand dollars.
As mentioned, I remember when there was development on 35mm film camera SLR digital backs, but either the cost to value ratio was not there, or the manufacturers figured they could make more money developing and selling DSLRs.

Nice blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere? A theme like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog stand out. Please let me know where you got your design. Many thanks
