Can I use Canon Rebel XT EOS Digital SLR Camera's lens with Canon EOS Rebel T1i?
I want to upgrade my Canon SLR camera to "Canon EOS Rebel T1i" which also takes HD video. I want to know if i can the lenses from Canon Rebel XT with this new model. Possible? Lenses are sooooo expensive. Thanks!

Sure… I just did exactly that. I have and Rebel XS but wanted video so I bought a t1i body only because I already had 4-lenses and certainly didn’t need another 18-55. Everything fits just fine.

mostly all canon lenses are compatible with Canon dslrs..
The “little hole” is what photographers have been using for decades to compose and choose the proper exposure of their photos.
Holding a nearly 2 pound camera and lens at arm’s length to compose and shoot a photo can only increase the chances of image blur caused by camera movement, especially when using long lenses.
If you really, really want to shoot at arm’s length, you need to find a good P&S camera with a lot of features, although, you will still suffer from camera movement, just not as much.
Since you neglected to tell us the model of your Rebel, we cannot even know if yours has live view or not.
Live view is really only a viable tool when the camera is attached to a telescope or microscope and is plugged into an AC adapter (the LCD drains the battery super fast) or if you are shooting product shots with the camera on a tripod again attached to the mains.
